Did I Achieve My January Goals?

Let's cut a long story short. I, erm... Sort of achieved some of my January goals and all of my hush hush top secret blog goals for the month. Despite what I didn't achieve, I'm not letting that get me down and I am so completely proud of myself for what I did achieve.

I will go through each individual goal and share if I achieved it or not, and what my excuses are for the latter.

  • Share one blog post. This is a massive 100% big green tick on this one. Not only did I share 1 blog post, I shared 6 entire blog posts throughout January. Blog posts I shared: 2019 Goals & Aspirations; What I Want To Achieve In January 2019; Penny-A-Day Savings Challenge; [COLLAB] My Top 5 Gin Tastes; Don't Get Stuck! Motivation & Quotes To Help You Survive January; and The Marketing Mix & How Bloggers Can Take Advantage.
  • Record one YouTube video. Okay... So this one is a yes and no. It's a bit of a cheat as it's my One Second Every Day video... But I still did it, right? Maybe I'll find the time & courage to sit down and record something in February!
  • Eat a healthier diet. I can say I achieved this one! I'm allowing myself treat days because I can't cut everything nasty out of my diet, I'd go loopy. But I have been meal prepping & trying to choose the healthier option!
  • Lose 5lbs of weight. Yes yes yes! I lost 5lbs in total in January by choosing healthier meals & walking to work! I've also upped my green tea intake too, which is all parts yum, warm & helping reduce my bloat.
  • Save £30 in January. This is a big fat no... But I have been keeping up with my penny a day challenge! I'll post an update on this half way through the year.
  • NO SPEND IN JANUARY! Dammit, no. The month started with an awful chest infection cold thing that I couldn't shift & I had to buy so many varieties of painkillers, cold relief, etc. I'm not going to set this as a goal again until I'm 100% out of debt (aiming for August!) so I know I can do this.
  • Take part in 1 park run. Whoops! Lazy. I am aiming for this, eventually, but I'm building myself up by walking the 5k to work first.
  • Read one book. I started a book... But I never finished it. The goal for February is to finish it.
Well, that wasn't too bad I guess! Did you achieve what you set out to in January? I'll share a follow up post to this in a few days' time detailing my February Goals. I've definitely learnt not to set anything too ambitious too early!
